Glued laminated timber, also called glulam, is a type of structural product that consists of a series of layers of wood bonded together with structural durable moisture resistant adhesives. Joining a number of small sheets of wood, a large, strong, structural product is produced from smaller pieces.

These structural members are used as vertical columns or horizontal beams. Connections are usually made with bolts or plain steel dowels and steel plates. Laminated timbers provide for longer spams and added strength.
